Oh, Christmas Tree.
Christmas in Lights is Liberty University’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting event, attended not only by the student body of Liberty, but the community of Lynchburg as well.
I had the opportunity to brand this event myself, creating all our promotional artwork, our printed handouts, and our advertising.
This was an especially exciting event for me to work on, as it represented the first time I had seen my work on a billboard, which was definitely a surreal experience.
My approach to this event was to create something classically Christmas. I wanted to build hype for not only the event, but for the Christmas season as well. After all, once the Liberty Christmas Tree is lit, it signals the start of the season on campus, so I wanted to reflect that.
I drew a lot of inspiration from classic Christmas specials like Charlie Brown, and Rudolph to give it a classic feel.
This is an event I’m extremely proud of, and I’m so happy I got to put my own personal touch on it.
